Berr-ita Sour

A tart twist on margarita using a sour fruit beer. This one’s not for the faint hearted! As seen on BBC Saturday Kitchen on 31st August 2024

INGREDIENTS

(Serves 1)

  • 50ml Tequila Blanco 
  • 20ml Triple Sec / Orange Liqueur 
  • 10ml Lime Juice 
  • 10ml Agave 
  • 100ml Berry Sour Beer - here I’ve used Endymion by Gravity Well

GARNISH

  • Salt rim and candy sour peels - see my recipe here.

GLASSWARE

Highball or in the can! Check out this can cutter on Amazon.

METHOD

In a cocktail shaker, add the tequila, triple sec, lime juice and agave - shake well with ice. Rim your can/glass with salt, add ice and strain in the tequila mix. Top with the berry sour beer, stir and enjoy!
